Whether you're cozying up by the bonfire, laying out in the park, or reading up on Mary-Kate and Ashley (because duh), a good blanket is considered a summer necessity. Why search far and wide for the perfect one, though, when you can just make it? One of our very favorite DIYs, this no-sew blanket features only three things, three steps, and limitless customization.
- Two pieces of fleece (60x60" at minimum)
- Measuring tape
Line up your pieces of fleece on top of each other to make sure they're the same size—you'll also need them to be in exactly the same place so you can cut in the same spots and knot them together!
Cut a 5x5" square on each corner, and then 6" long stripes every inch down the entire blanket on every side.
Once all your strips are cut, start tying the corresponding strips together into double knots until all of them are completed.
Annnnd that's it! Seriously. Now all you have to do is snuggle up.
