How to Make Chocolate Mice

The holiday season is my absolute favorite—growing up, we had so many traditions that make December so special. One of the traditions was creating chocolate mice with cherries. These cute creatures are just as good for eating as they are for decorating gingerbread houses and not only that, but they’re super easy to make!
Here's the supplies you'll need:
- Chocolate Slab
- Sliced Almonds
- Hershey's Kisses
- Red Icing
- Black Icing
- Maraschino Cherries
- Parchment Paper
Break down the chocolate slab into squares using a knife.
Put the chocolate in a microwaveable bowl, melting it in the microwave for one minute.
Take it out, stir, and put back in the microwave for 15 second intervals as necessary.
Dip the maraschino cherries in the melted chocolate up to the stem. Place them on the parchment paper in order to create the heads.
Wedge two almond slices between the chocolate-covered cherry and an unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss to create ears, using chocolate as glue.
Let the mice cool in the fridge to solidify the structure.
Using dots of black icing, create eyes. You can either apply it straight out of the tube or use a toothpick.
Using dots of red icing, create a nose on the tip of the Hersey’s Kiss.
Refrigerate until everything has been set.
